November 2025 – Jersey City Audio Workshop
Are you an aspiring engineer/producer? Are you a resident of Jersey City? Well you’re in luck! The Cocoon is hosting a FREE 6 course audio workshop supported by public funds from the Jersey City Arts + culture Trust fund. these audio workshops will give students a front row experience with all things recording studio – instruments, gear, and musicians. Classes start November 2025!

Designed for both professionals and hobbyists in the music industry and meditation community, this session integrates vocal activation, guided breathwork, visualization, and sound bath to support practitioners at all levels—from beginners to the experienced.
Led by Tabitha Booth, an award-winning music video producer, meditation practitioner of 18 years, RYTT200-certified yoga instructor, and IASH Level 2 sound healer.
This immersive experience is ideal for those tracking moon phases or vision board goals. No prior meditation experience is required. Aromatherapy is included.
Please bring: a journal, pen, and cushion.

Here’s one for the next generation’s beat makers, hit producers, and overall whiz kids! Ever wanted to roll up your sleeves and leap into a professional recording studio to learn from one of the industry’s best engineers? Now is your chance!
Across the four sessions, students will nerd out about:
– how microphones and speakers work
– sound waves, frequency, and the way actual sound gets recorded
– timbre and tonality of different instruments
– diffusion, absorption, and reflection in acoustics
As well as headier topics like cymatics (visualizing sound), the connection between sound and emotion, and what makes a song a song? And of course, the credo is good vibrations always!
